The ISS will be deorbited by 2030, ending 30+ years of spacewalks.

NASA plans to crash the ISS into the ocean around 2030. Future spacewalks will move to commercial successors — Axiom Space, Voyager's Starlab, and Blue Origin's Orbital Reef — already under NASA contract.

ISS docking happens at roughly the speed of a slow walk!

Spacecraft must slow to about 3–10 cm/second — slower than a turtle — on final approach, aligning within centimeters using laser rangefinders before the capture ring engages and locks the vessel in place.

NASA & Roscosmos swapped rocket seats in a 2022 barter deal!

No money changed hands — NASA traded Soyuz seats for Dragon seats, keeping ISS crews 'integrated.' That deal sent Fedyaev to Dragon on Crew-5 (2022) and again on Crew-12, making him the first Russian to fly Dragon twice.
