QOTD #00133: “What's something your pet did that made you mad at first, but made you laugh about later?”

“So, we have horses. Um, I have a horse that's very friendly, and we kinda let them run in the yard every once in a while, and she climbed the deck stairs. Mhm. We had to walk her through the house to get her out because she did not want to go back down the deck stairs. She came up them just fine but didn't want to go back down them.”

“I once had a cat that was so mad at me that he started peeing everywhere. He was mad because we wouldn't let him go outside. And, you know, peeing everywhere, that's a normal cat response. However, except one day I walked into the kitchen and there he was, legs over my toaster, peeing inside the toaster. And I know it was deliberate because he turned his head and looked at me. I was so mad. I'm still a little mad, but it's been long enough that...it was a little funny.”

“This is something my cat still does occasionally, and I still sometimes get mad at it. But I still sometimes laugh about it afterwards, and it's he'll jump up on the table when I'm trying to eat, and he sometimes gets fur in things and it's really annoying, and he shouldn't jump up on the table. But I know that he just wants attention and affection, so I'll laugh about it later.”

“What's something that my pet did that made me mad at first made me laugh after? Um, so much! Um, my cutest dog ever, um... He would always go into the trash can and literally just destroy the trash can when I would leave. And I would come back to the trash can overturned and it made me furious, so mad, but I gotta admit, it was kind of funny, especially seeing his face after because he felt really bad. But he kept doing it, you know, he would wag his tail and feel bad, but...”

“So, one time I was making an apple pie. And I left the kitchen to go, like, look at the recipe or something like that, and I got a little sidetracked as one does and was away from the kitchen for longer than I planned. And when I came back, the stick of butter that I left on the counter was gone, and my dog was just, like, in the corner looking really bashful and I was really mad at first, but now I definitely laugh.”

“One day we decided to give my dog a bath on the same day that we had just trimmed the front lawn. So as soon as my dog got out of the bathtub, he runs straight to the front lawn and then 10 seconds later, this beautiful, white, fluffy Shih Tzu, all nice and clean, comes happily trotting back completely green and covered in dirt. So, yeah, many funny pictures were taken that day.”

“I actually have a dog we got a few months ago. I've always had dogs and he's a little bit puppy, so I love it like that. We're able to chase him around and play a little physical faster, and I actually was able to catch him one time and I tackled him, and I didn't realize he had gotten so scared. Well, he peed on me! So, I was a little warm in the shirt, so I got pretty mad, but I was able to take a couple seconds and realized that you can just wash that out in the laundry. And he's a great dog, so I'm glad to have him, and I'm gonna keep him.”

“My only pet that I ever had, Gladys, the cat, who was left on me by a no-account roommate... I came home from work to find out I had a cat, and my kitchen was littered with the garbage bag by this cat who was looking for food. I hung this cat over the balcony and said, "This is your way out the next time my kitchen looks like that." We laugh about it today [laughs].”
