QOTD #00076: “What is something your Dad does that drives you crazy? ”

“So, I think that my dad wrote this question so that he would know what I don't like that he does, so I'll tell him right now. It is when he's angry in the car and he slaps the dashboard, and then everyone just falls silent, and it's really awkward, and no one's happier after he just slapped the dashboard.”

“One thing that my father does that drives me crazy is he works all the time and has ever since I was a little kid. He works, that's all. It's all that's ever mattered to him, is getting more money, working longer hours. Doesn't spend a lot of time with us or his family. And so that really drives me crazy.”

“What is something your dad does that drives you crazy? Well, he always thinks I'm doing something wrong. If I'm cleaning, I'm doing it wrong. If I'm fixing my car or changing the oil, I'm doing it wrong. If I'm cooking, you best believe I'm doing it wrong.”

“What is something my dad does that drives me crazy? Hmm... Well, you might want to ask my therapist this question because she would know the whole list of things that I would say. I'm kidding. Um, I don't know. Maybe, uh... He thinks that he's right about everything because of his age. Um, yeah, age does bring wisdom, but it also doesn't mean you know everything. Yeah, I think- I think that's probably the most annoying thing. But like I said, you are not my therapist, so you don't get to know all of the things.”

“What is something that my dad does that drives me crazy? Uh, he thinks like a corporate robot, I think is the best - You know, I'm in my mid-late 20s, and, you know, he is obviously older than me, so he comes from that generation that's just super, um, company-oriented. So, I'd say that drives me crazy about him.”

“Something my dad does that drives me crazy - He's a really loud sneezer. Like, you know those people who just sneeze so loud, and- and he'll sneeze like three or four times in a row. Like, we'll be out to dinner at like a nicer place, and he's just sneezing so loud. Everyone is staring at us. It's- it's so embarrassing. But that really drives me crazy about him.”

“Well, my dad doesn't do anything crazy anymore because he unfortunately passed at the onset of COVID. However, when he was here, my mom would sometimes say, you know, "Hey, I need you to give me X amount of money to do something for the kid," or, "I wanna take my grandkid to whatever place and I need you to give me some money to take him to where we're going." And my dad would say, um, "When are you gonna pay me back?" And- and I would hear him, and I'm like, "Are you asking your kid's mom to pay you back?" or, "Are you asking to be reimbursed for someone taking your grandkid to do something fun?" And this was all the time. And, oh my God, it used to kill me because this woman had a whole kid for you, like, you owe her everything. So yeah, that's my dad and his crazy thing he used to do.”

“Something your dad does that drives you crazy. Hmm... He gets on my driving. That's what drives me crazy: He gets on my driving. I will drive - I'm a very confident driver. I drive very, very well, but if I go a little over the speed limit, he's - "Woah, woah. Slow, son. Slow this down. Slow the car down or you gon' hit somebody." No, I'm not flying, I'm not a speed demon, but that man will make it seem like I'm going 130 miles per hour, and I promise you I'm going below the speed limit or the speed limit in my little old car. That's what- that's what drives me crazy.”

“I think this is more of my mom and dad, but something they do is whenever you will tell them a secret or whatever, they go blurt it out to the whole world. Or, not- at least not the whole world, but, you know, the rest of the family. And then, you know, the - she's mad or the... I went blank for a second, like, I forgot the word in English. But, like, that- that news, you know, is already known to the whole family, and that's what drive me crazy. This is why I keep stuff to myself and don't really tell them that important stuff. So yeah.”
