QOTD #00044: “Do you believe in soulmates?”

“Um this question is a tough one. I feel like I definitely used to believe in it, um however, as I grew older, you know, learning about how many like older people that have been single their whole life, or people that thought they found their soulmate but the marriage didn't go as well. I think I've come to be more realistic, and maybe in a pessimistic view, and I honestly don't think I believe in soulmates, I think. I think it's something that people kind of believe in just to keep themselves going. Um but I don't know. If you believe in them, I don't really... I don't really have, you know, much to say about it.”

“I absolutely believe in soulmates. Umm I believe that we all come to this Earth with a purpose, especially to find umm that one person that suits us, that understands us, that um -- doesn't necessarily need to say anything, but that just know who you are and how to um support you, and how to love you the way you're supposed to be loved. So definitely believe in soulmates and everybody on this Earth has someone, somewhere waiting for them or just waiting to -- to meet them.”

“I do believe that everyone will find a soulmate. It might take time, but I believe there is someone out there who is perfect for a person. Again, it might take a while before you find them or before they find you, but I do believe, ultimately, in the end, it does and will happen.”

“Do I believe in soulmates, and that everyone has someone that they're meant to be with? Absolutely. And I can't wait to find my soulmate! Absolutely. I do believe that there's a soul mate for everyone; it's just about you finding them. So absolutely, yes.”

“Uhh I personally think there isn't a soulmate necessarily, but I know there's a lot of people that do believe in that type of stuff. Uhh I'm not really sure, but it's a cool idea, I think.”

“Do I believe in soulmates? I... As a hopeless romantic, I want to say yes, but I also do believe that there are people that are meant to be in your life and teach you things. So I think you can have a couple of soulmates, or just people that were really meant to be, you know, a love in your life.”

“Soulmates, like one person was made for exactly the other person in this complete, entire, huge world? Uhh no. I think it has a lot to do with timing and probability, and um like the saying goes: 'there's a lot of fishes in the sea.'”

“No, I don't believe that. Actually, I choose not to believe that, because if I start to believe, it will mean that I've already lost mine. So there are multiple, multiple people.”

“Um I do believe in soulmates. Um I think everyone has a person who they're meant to be with. Um I think that not everyone really finds their soulmate, you know? I think that's a hard thing to find. But everyone has someone who is just their perfect fit, who like just like is the better half of them, you know? Yeah.”

“Great question. So I do believe that there is a soulmate, and umm there's someone I'm supposed to be connected with. My question would be for how long though. Like I have not been able to replicate the intense love I had the first time I fell in love with anyone ever since. So is that my soulmate? It could be. It's just a great question, and ultimately the answer is yes, um I do believe that there is a soulmate.”
