QOTD #00090: “Show us the weirdest thing in your refrigerator.”

Food can be very personal and, let's face it, kind of gross. We've all experienced a fridge nightmare before, like an overflow of condiment packets or old and moldy leftovers we found hiding in the back. Show us the weirdest thing in your fridge right now! Is it there on purpose, or had you forgotten all about it?

Oh, just my placenta
“Okay, so the weirdest thing in my fridge - Don't judge me. So I had a baby, right? - and I heard that eating your placenta is good for not catching postpartum depression. So I actually took my placenta home and I encapsulated the pills myself, dried it out, and that's my placenta. It's actually in the freezer, but yeah.”

My son's Chopped masterpieces.
“Okay, so I couldn't take you to my fridge because my kid's up there napping, and I didn't want to wake him up by talking in the kitchen. But the weirdest thing in my fridge is this, this hacked-up tomato top right now, because my son - my three-year-old, he loves to help me prep dinner and, uh, so I got him some, like, toddler-safe knives, and last night we were slicing tomatoes. So, you know, I did my tomato slices and I let him, you know, work on this and, you know, I put mine in my Tupperware and he puts his in his, and you stick 'em in the fridge. And then, um, so like, when his dad comes home and he's picking tomatoes for his burger, he will pick my son's, and then he'll compliment me. 'Oh hey, Mom, you - you've sliced these perfectly. These look great.' And it's just so fun to watch my son's face light up because he's so proud that, you know, someone thought that an adult did what he did, and it's - I don't know. It's just really cute to watch and be like, 'No, Dad, I did it.' Um, and yeah, so that is the - you know, at any given day, you can find some weirdly chopped vegetable in my fridge.”
