Follow the misadventures of Popeye (Robin Williams), the sailor man extraordinaire, as he arrives in the quirky town of Sweethaven in search of his long-lost father, Poopdeck Pappy (Ray Walston). Along the way, he falls for the slender Olive Oyl (Shelley Duvall) and battles his burly rival, Bluto (Paul L. Smith), for her affections.
