Bear from The Big Blue House as a house pet?

“What fictional or mythical creature would you want as a pet? Well, I want a fictional character. And it's the bear from the Big Blue House because my daughter loved him and he's big and cuddly, and he always used to make us feel happy and used to sing that lovely song at the end...something like, [sings] "Goodbye. Goodbye, my friends, goodbye. Now, it's time to go." Oh, we used to love it. [sings] "Come back very soon, I know."”
