QOTD #00019: “What's an awkward late-nite text you sent, and did you apologize?”

“I haven't sent many drunk texts, but my friend in college when I was drinking one night was texting me, and he asked me how I was, and I wanted to play it cool, so I said warm because I was just being honest - it was pretty warm! - and I didn't have to apologize the next day because he made me feel really, really sorry that I said it over the course of the next couple of months.”

“Well, I've only sent drunken takes to... some people that I was friends with, perhaps. Well, it was just one guy, and he was okay with it, I mean... it was great.”

“I've sent a sent a lot of them, but one time I like called out this friend on how they were treating me and I was kind of mean with it, um, and I did apologize, but I also feel like... I was in the right in a way, but, yeah, there's too many to count.”

“A text I sent that I shouldn't have. I accidentally sent it to my mom instead of a friend of mine. It was during, like, the last election and I was pretty fired up, and so I immediately texted her and said, "Please, please delete that. Please don't read that. Please delete it." It was- It was quite embarrassing. We've all been there, man.”

“Hello! So a drunk text I definitely probably have sent, same with a bunch of other people, probably: just to their ex. Um, I did apologize just because I was like, no, I'm not- I wasn't meaning to actually... I wasn't in the right mindset to be talking to them, so I had to apologize the next day. So, yeah, that was it.”

“This is super random, but one time I sent my friend a text that said that I had lasagna in the oven and it was burning, but like I was in a car the entire time, and I don't think I regret it, but it's super random. I don't think I enjoyed it.”

“Um, I've never been drunk before, but I have sent some very ridiculous texts by accident when you're trying to say something, but you just typed the wrong things, yeah? But I've never been drunk before! :)”

“What's an awkward late night text you sent? I send many awkward texts. Um, I kind of say whatever's on my mind many times, and sometimes it gets awkward. I apologize. I always apologize if I feel it hurts someone's feelings or bothers them. And sometimes I say stuff I shouldn't say, or I say stuff that hurts people's feelings and I feel bad. And you know, it was my truth. And I stand by that. One of the worst things, though, that I've ever done is send a screenshot about the person to the person. So yeah, that's pretty embarrassing and I felt bad.”

“All of the drunk texts I've sent have been very nice. Too nice! They're just in all caps. I LOVE YOU. YOU'RE THE BEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD. And it's to my dentist, it's just to random people in my phone. But I don't regret sending them. Maybe sending them to certain people, but, no, a little dose of positivity. You're welcome, if you get that. You're welcome!”

“So for my late night text I was getting home from a night out. And instead of sending, like an emoji heart, like I had a good time I sent a gorilla. I don't know how. But it was just like Mm gorilla. So, yeah, I saw that in the morning. Um, no comment on the gorilla.”

“Actually. My grandma had texted me around three PM. This when I was in college. I head on out because I didn't I didn't recognize that like I like I just didn't text her back. I went out. It was like 12 or one ish. And I was trying to text my grandma like I love you, but I'm sorry I didn't respond. But I sent it. To actually somebody that I had a crush on at the time.”
