Phoebe's Answer

QOTD: “Is it ever justified to snoop through someone's phone? Have you ever?”

Your honor, im slaying

Snoop a phone to save a life

“I think it's important to go through someone's phone, like, only in the event that either they're missing and you have their phone and you're trying to figure out where they are or what happened to them, or if you don't know them but they were in some sort of accident or emergency situation and can't identify themselves to you. So I read this thing on the Internet that says that you should always put your emergency contact, put what their relationship to you is in their name. So you could have, like, their name and then 'husband' or 'partner' or 'wife' or something like that, so that if you can't speak for yourself in some emergency situation, someone else can go through your phone, find them and call them. Um, so yeah, I don't think snooping just to, like, try and get information out of someone is ever right, um, but in emergency instances like that, I think going through someone's phone can be super crucial.”
