Hopelessly deep in a grease trap

“Hello. So this is my workplace nightmare story. Um, I worked at this barbecue restaurant for two years and I knew everything about it, you know, ins and outs like it was the back of my hand. I knew everything about it - or I thought, because one day my boss decided to fill me in that we had a grease trap, and by 'grease trap,' I mean a 4-foot by 4-foot, 6-feet deep of just straight grease, and he wanted me to clean it. I had no clue it existed, and I cleaned that for eight hours that day. I lost one of my favorite hats in the abyss, never to be seen again, and it was depressing. It was really sad. But the following day I decided to go, you know, check it again, make sure everything was clean inside, and it refilled to the brim. Had to clean it again. Long story short, asked for a raise and got it. Ah, it was horrible.”
