QOTD #00129: “What is your pet’s name, and how did you come up with it?”

“My last pet's name was Boss. It was a dog. He was very, very pretty, and I did not even name him. My dad named him. I never changed the name, so, Boss it was.”

“I have an adorable 11-pound Yorkie that I named Cooper because I was convinced my next car would be a Mini Cooper, and now I drive a Jeep. So, he's the only Mini Cooper I have.”

“My husky DJ got his name from the legendary Washington Huskies' football coach, Don James. I was a radio DJ for a long time, so people always ask, "Oh did you name your dog DJ because you're a radio DJ?" And I have to explain, no, I was just a really big Washington Husky football fan at the time, so, Don James it was. DJ.”

“I have a cat, and his name is Ed, which is short for Edgar. Um, I've had pets in the past. All of them have had regular names. I mean, sort of offbeat, like, I've had Mumford who was the guinea pig and another cat named Dexter. Um, but I do...I like, I like, sort of old man, old lady names for pets. I'm sorry if I offended you. I like your name if it's like an old person name.”

“My pet's name is Petunia. She was a shelter cat. And, so, that was the name that she came with. And we decided to keep it and call her Petunia or Tunia or even Tuna sometimes. She can be a bit of a menace, but we love her.”

“So, I have two cats, and I only named one of them. Their name is Noir. And for those who don't know, it's a French word for black. Um, it originally came from an anime called Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple. Then I had five cats when I was younger; they were all named Noir. Noir the Second, Noir the Third, Noir the Fifth, Noir Noir. And now, about 10 years later, we got a new black cat. And of course, I had to name her Noir because she has the same little adventurous face that all the Noirs before came with.”

“Her name is Doctor Callie Torres. And got her name from Grey's Anatomy, named after Dr. Calliope Torres, MD. May Dog.”

“Hello, meet Bubbles. This is my pet, Bubbles, and he's named that because he loves to play in the bubbles. So, say hello, Bubbles! Say hello. Um, very creative name. The kids can claim that word, genius. Oh, what a cutie.”

“So, I have four pets, um, four dogs. Um, one of them is called Judy, and she's named after my great-great-grandaunt who I actually met while she was still alive. Then there's Florey, and she's named after an elderly woman that my grandparents and my mother took in because she was lonely and had nowhere to live. Um, then the other one is called Bobby, and my mom named him, and then lastly, her name is Gucci, and she lives up to her name. She's very fancy.”

“So, I actually have a pet rabbit. He's a black rabbit. Uh, he's awesome. He's litter box trained. It's actually super easy to do that; anyone that wants a rabbit, just, I mean, literally, you can train them in a litter box. Um, my rabbit is called Frank, and he is from Donnie Darko, from the movie Donnie Darko. You know, Frank the Rabbit. And, uh, maybe he's evil, maybe not. I mean, you decide.”
