There were so many chaperones!
“Oh, yeah. Very awkward experience, I remember, because there were so many chaperones. It was middle school, so you had to have, like, a chaperone for every five kids or something crazy. And we were all awkward middle schoolers, so we were all too afraid to approach anybody of the opposite gender, and we all didn't know how to dance, so... Yeah, I remember it quite well, actually. I was terrified of school dances after that.”
