QOTD: “If you've ever talked your way out of a ticket, what worked?”

Chicago

Running through, or over, the stop sign

“I have never talked my way out of a ticket before. I mean, there have been cops who literally just wanted to give me a warning, and people who just, like, wanted to just give me a ticket. But this one time, I, like, I blew a stop sign, but it wasn't a real stop sign. It was, like, on the it was on the ground, like, it had fallen over so, like, no one can see it. So it was, like, not a real stop sign. It just, like, wasn't there because it was on the ground. And then I got pulled over, and then the guy was, like, yelling at me for not stopping at the stop sign, but I was like, 'It's on the ground, like, I don't know. I can't see it. It's on the ground.' And then I almost didn't get out of that, but luckily he got, like, called on his, um, like, walkie, and he had to leave the scene, so I got away with it. Blowing a stop sign that was on the ground.”
