They're not thinking as much as you think they think.

“I'm probably wrong, and I really hope science can prove it one day, but it really seems to me like indoor pets, they're -- it's just a hum in their brain - "hmmmmmmm" - all day long. And then there's like a spark that fires once they smell food or they have to use the bathroom. That's it.”
